Biomedical Engineering
MSc., Biology
BSc., Chemical Engineering

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Baku Engineering University. During my undergraduate years, I participated in a neuroscience project investigating the effects of curcumin on memory and depression. My bachelor’s thesis focused on evaluating non-toxic solvents for curcumin extraction.

Subsequently, I was awarded the prestigious CSC A-Type Scholarship from the Chinese Embassy in Azerbaijan, enabling me to pursue a Master’s degree in Biology at Zhejiang Normal University. My research there concentrated on epithelial cell signaling pathways and ion channel dysfunctions that contribute to various diseases, including cystic fibrosis.

For my Ph.D., I sought to combine the problem-solving skills I developed during my engineering studies with the biological expertise I acquired during my Master’s program. Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering at Boğaziçi University, where my research focuses on designing sugar- and lipid-based biopolymers for cell-targeting therapies.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I am the founder and president of Neyroelm, a research and education company specializing in life sciences, particularly neuroscience. Neyroelm offers a range of courses, summer schools, academic books, and journals, catering to individuals eager to explore the fascinating realm of life sciences.
